When you introduce your business on an online platform, it may seem competitive and somewhat expensive. However, regardless of the misconception that you will have to spend a huge sum of money to promote your brand online, the most important ingredient to aid your publicity is time and of course, money (but just a little amount of it).

Grow your social accounts
This is one of the most important ways of proving your authenticity is by growing your social accounts. By doing this, you become familiar with each platform and how they work to achieve the same aim in different ways. Once you become familiar with each platform, you are typically familiar with the algorithms such as the best time to post and how many posts to send out per day. For example, if you have a business account on Instagram, the best time to post may be between 4 pm and 12 am as people like to use social media after getting back from work or school.
Another way to grow your account is by engaging with potential customers from related hashtags. However, spamming their pages with unnecessary comments will not aid in winning them as potential customers.
This is when you give away an item(s) from your business or store for free. Social media users are always eager to participate in giveaways because of the thrill of winning and owning something valuable for free. Let’s say you run an online swimsuit store, you can do a giveaway for any swimsuit with certain terms and conditions attached. These terms and conditions act as the trigger to increase your publicity using social media. Do not turn giveaways into a regular event as it can cause an increase in followers who anticipate getting items for free. However, it could be a special event.
It is one thing to create a blog and another to actually maintain it. Having authentic articles updated regularly on your blog aids in publicity because of the shareable actions your readers can take causing for exposure to a new audience. However, you must be able to create content that is interesting to be shared and this can be achieved by being authentic, paying attention to keywords or SEO blogging.
By posting authentic, relevant content, your readers become attached to the information you provide on your blog because they can not find something as thrilling, simple and engaging. So, be unique in order to stand out. As for SEO blogging, certain keywords aid in increasing the quality and quantity of traffic on your site which results in free publicity.
There are different kinds of paid advertising and a lot of social media platforms offer their users paid advertising at a very affordable rate. Platforms such as Facebook and Instagram are great in advertising to an audience consisting of teens and youths.
However, for paid advertisement to actually work in increasing both customers and audience, you need to do an analysis of your target market on each platform before proceeding to do a paid advertisement. An analysis of the target market will aid in selecting the right data for the ad.
